This site has been made to cherish, document, and archive the Nijiura Maids. On the western web, the Nijiura Maids barely have any fanbase, but we think that working to keep them alive is worth it. The internet culture that birthed the maids is almost nonexistent now, which is a shame. We hope that this site will interest and enlighten more people in the maids, as well as connect existing fans! 
April 21st, 2004, an anonymous poster on one of Futaba Channel’s Nijiura boards wishes of having a maid, to help him with daily tasks, was fulfilled. Medoi-san was born. This was a concept the imageboard was fond of, and the users would contribute by creating more maids, each having their names be a wordplay that reflects their personality. The maids would often be drawn interacting with each other, and anonymous posters would make posts on the imageboard speaking as the maids.
